Greater Estero Cultural Arts Council Forms

In late July the Greater Estero Cultural Arts Council, Inc., elected interim officers as a newly-independent not-for-profit organization, spawned in part as a committee of the Estero Council of Community Leaders. This organization is one of the five sponsors of this web site. Their "Arts Estero" section is the new home for information on the Arts in Estero, Florida.

Incorporating the Arts into the Estero Community Plan

At the May 2006 ECPP meeting, Patricia Fay from Florida Gulf Coast University made a presentation regarding incorporating the arts in to the Estero Community Plan. The slide presentation is available as a pdf file.

Arts In Estero

Arts in Estero was a big success. Over 500 people attended the informative and entertaining presentation of the future of the arts community in Estero. See photos from the event!

On Saturday, April 8, 2006 Arts Committee of the Estero Council of Community Leaders sponsored an event to increase awareness of and support for the Arts in Estero, Florida. The event included informational booths from various local arts agency's in the hotel foyer and performances by those agencies throughout the day in the hotel ballroom. Groups represented included: Gulfshore Playhouse Theatre, Southwest Florida Symphony, Estero Art League, Estero Historical Society, Spirit of the Gulf, Estero High School performing groups, Friends of South County Regional Library and more.
