Our Mother's Home
Our Mother's Home is a program keeping teen foster mothers and their children
together, breaking the foster cycle, teaching transitioning skills, and
overcoming histories of abuse. Their prototype home has 8 mother and 8 babies
living, learning and growing in 1 loving home in Southwest Florida.
Over 100 mothers and children have benefited from the program since its
inception in 2000, with an 80% success rate of keeping families together,
transitioning to self-sufficiency and avoiding re-entry into the foster system.
The home raises 40-50% of it's funding privately as a 501(c)3 organization.
